A popular trip every year, 6 boys enjoy biking on trails of varying difficulty throughout the 50,000 acre property. Camping at the Minna Lake site, the boys take day trips, ending with a visit to the Wolf Interpretative Centre.
White Water Expedition

For boys interested in learning how to navigate white water and who enjoy paddling, this trip travels to Palmer Rapids and the lower part of the Madawaska River.
Bon Echo Rock Climbing

This trip to Lake Mazinaw has been a highlight for boys who love to climb. A qualified guide along with a Ponacka counsellor leads this small group of boys. Some rock climbing experience is an asset. The oldest boys are given preference.

Half Day Scuba Clinic

This clinic is an introduction to scuba, which gives a taste of the sport. Please bring mask, fins and snorkel to camp or purchase through Adventure Divers.

SDI SCUBA COURSE

Cost $395.00 + $10.00 shipping of materials.
For the 6th year, this challenging 24 hour certifying course including theory and diving, will be administered by Adventure Divers, who send you all course materials. Equipment required (fins, mask, snorkel etc) may be purchased through Adventure Divers.

Hiking in the Adirondack High Peaks Region
August Only

Six campers and two Ponacka counsellors will drive to New York State for several days of hiking in the Adirondacks. Each camper requires proper hiking boots, a medium sized pack (which may be rented from camp for $25.00) and rain gear. The Adirondacks are a beautiful range of mountains reasonably close, well mapped and monitored.
